Christmas is coming and please help support Cat Protection UK

So this Christmas I've decided to run a little project, consisting of me creating three kitty related festive designs from watercolour, and turning them into beautiful Christmas cards.

The reason I wanted to partake in this adventure, is to raise money for the amazing charity Cat Protection UK, who do some incredible, selfless work around the UK to help homeless and abandoned kitties. They are also a charity with a special place in my heart, because they helped me with microchipping and neutering services when I chose to take in a very special little black cat off the streets of London when I was living as a student.

So in other words, I really want to help and say thank you to these guys, along with raising some money to keep them going, and changing the lives of cats and their owners.

So please help me to help them by purchasing one of my cards and I will donate 50p, or if you buy a set of 3 I will donate £1.50 to Cat Protection UK.

I also would like to make clear that all costs are going towards materials and listing fees, and I am keeping no profits for myself.

If you would like to support my project, you can purchase the cards in my shop here

Thank you :)

Custom house portrait keychains on Today Show!

So this week has been a bit of a roller coaster...

I was contacted last week to have one of my items featured on NBC's 'Today Show', and today it actually happened!

Unfortunately they didn't show my shop name or website address like the others on there (big boohoo) so no one knows I exist :(

As much as I am utterly, utterly gutted, I want to show you all anyway, as I am still proud that something I created with my own little hands made it to national TV!

And here are the pics of the items I sent to NBC for the show. If you would like to purchase a custom house portrait keyring, please visit my shop here

I will go and have a LARGE glass of wine now...

Sorry...

Sorry about neglecting you Mr. Blog!

Life's been a whirlwind of surprises, happiness and frustration at the moment, so I took a little time away from this blog, but hopefully will be back on track very soon and some very exciting things seems to being flowing my way... ;)

For now, here is a coloured pencil portrait I created of Milla Jovovich, and I also made it into a timelapse video for my you tube channel! Watch here

Pet Portraits

Hi everyone!

I'm quite busy at the moment designing my pet portrait website and flyers/business cards, so apologies in advance if I'm not as active this week.

Here's another addition to my pet portrait portfolio, an A4 watercolour of our beloved cat Rosie, whom we said good bye to 3 years ago. If you are interested in your own pet portrait, my prices start from only £45 for something similar to this, and these can be purchased in my shop here

Tutorial- Rainbow Hama Bead Bowl!

Hi everyone!

Today I have my first tutorial to share with you all, I will show you how to make your own little cute and colourful, rainbow bowl, made out of hama beads! Soooo cute ^.^

So with the help of my lovely little niece, listen up!

1. First of all you will need some Hama beads, some cooking oil (we used Crisp & Dry), and an oven proof bowl (we used a pyrex)

2. Pour around a tablespoon of oil into the bowl

3.  Use a paper towel to wipe the oil all around the bowl

4. Chuck in some of those lovely colourful beads

5. Keep adding more and pressing them around the bottom and sides to allow the beads to take the shape of the bowl

6. Bake it in the oven at 200 ºC for around 10 minutes, ours needed a little longer, so keep a close eye on it and make sure all the beads are fused together. When it looks like the one below, allow it to cool, then start to carefully peel and slide it out.

7. Enjoy your shiny new rainbow bowl, put fruit in it, keys, snacks, the only limit is your imagination!

Thanks for reading :)

Marvellous Mondays is moving to every fortnight!

Hi guys!

I'm moving 'Marvellous Mondays', where I share great artists with you to every other monday! The reason is I'm just really short on time every monday, as its the only day I get to devote to my business and art :(

Until the day comes where I can live off what I make and create, sacrifices have to be made i'm afraid.

But all is not lost, I have a new drawing/painting for you this week of the AMAZING James & Bob!

If you haven't heard of them, please check out their lovely Facebook page here

I also have a timelapse video coming up soon for this, so watch out ^.^

Marvellous Mondays No.2

This week I'd like to feature the adorable work created by artist Emmeline Pidgen. I came across Emmeline's work just over a month ago and I've been glued to her wonderful blog ever since!

Her work has such a wonderful dreamlike quality to it, and her colourful characters never fail to leave a smile on my face. She has also illustrated a gorgeous children's book called 'Sylvester and the New Year', which is chuck full of this lady's wonderful artistic talent! I'm planning on buying it for my niece this Christmas, who's also a wannabe illustrator :)
